With EDC Las Vegas kicking off today, I wrote an article for MDA (Modern Disco Ambassadors) called MDA Alumni Taking the Stage at EDC Las Vegas 2018. Check it out and let me know what you think!

The legendary Fritz Carlton took over La Cave and I had the chance to ask him some questions before he headed to the stage. I wrote about the interview and the show as an article for MDA titled Fritz Carlton Turns La Cave Upside Down.

DJ Moose Trax
At MDA's first edition of Summer Home this year, I had the opportunity to meet Danny Klein and Tara Zapata of Lost In Los Angeles. They recently released their first single, In The Dark, after re-imagining the LiLA sound. I had the opportunity to interview Tara and Danny, and I wrote it an article for MDA called Lost in Los Angeles Re-Imagines Their Sound with In the Dark.

What’s up Moosers!
This week was an amazing time with Little Boots at Summer Home and the MDA takeover at Kitsch on Sunday, Dena Amy at La Cave on Wednesday, House of Hustle takeover at Que Sera in Long Beach Friday night, and 900 Block’s Hideaway Vol. 6 in Los Angeles on Saturday night. Needless to say, this week was filled with quality music. Some of my picks this week are songs I’ve heard while out and about, but a couple are from the dark recesses of my music library as I’ve been digging for my forgotten gems.
Without further adieu, here are this week’s picks in no particular order:
Jay Robinson - The Return
I’m not sure if I’ve heard a song by Jay Robinson yet that I don’t like. He has been a mainstay at Night Bass and his songs are so much fun to drop in a set. The title track off his Return EP continues the trend, and was even picked by Insomniac as a track of the day.
Mark Knight & D. Ramirez v Underworld - Downpipe (Original Club Mix)
I’ve really been digging Mark Knight lately and Downpipe is an absolute classic collaboration between Mark Knight, D. Ramirez, and Underworld. Toolroom Records has been a huge inspiration for me. Their tech house song is iconic and Downpipe is a flagship track for crew at Toolroom.
Cera Alba feat. Zehra - Taking Over Me (Tiger Stripes Remix)
I heard the Tiger Stripes remix of Taking Me Over at the House of Hustle takeover on Friday night and WOW the place went off. This has been in my library for a couple of weeks now without being played out, but now I am definitely going to make it a point to.
Nobody - I <3 Acid
I nearly forgot about this gem in my collection. I love the acid house sound so much that one of my first hardware synthesizers was a Roland TB3, the reboot of Roland’s classic TB303 which defined acid house. I <3 Acid is one of my favorite tracks from the genre so you can definitely expect to hear this in a Moose set soon.
Vanilla Ace - Night Steppin’
Little Boots dropped Night Steppin’ toward the end of her set on Sunday and I went bonkers. I love Vanilla Ace and I did not expect her to play any tracks by him, but she did and it was amazing. Handle this one with care.
That’s it for this week, tune in next week for five more dancefloor destroyers.
Until next time Moosers.
If you haven't heard of Fo Free by Omnom yet, your name is probably Patrick Star because you must live under a rock. Fo Free is the latest heater coming out of Dirtybird's house banger factory. I swear every release is better than the last.
Omnom is an Orange County native and decided to celebrate the release of his first Dirtybird single at MDA Wednesdays. Let me tell you, it was legendary. Before he took the decks, however, I had the chance to interview him and write it up as an article titled OMNOM Gives it Up Fo Free at MDA Wednesdays.

This week was insanely busy but filled with so much amazing music and good times with great people. It was hard to decide but here are five more of my favorite songs at the moment. Let me know what you think of these picks!
So, here they are in no particular order:
VOLAC & Gustavo Mota - Like Dis
The boys from Volac have done it again on their collaboration with Gustavo Mota. It’s a free download so don’t miss it!
Steve Angello - Freedom (feat. Pusha T)
If you haven’t listened to Steve Angello’s new album, HUMAN, is your name Patrick Starr? Because you’re probably live under a rock. The album is absolutely amazing from start to finish, so it’s only appropriate that its responsible for my next two picks.
Steve Angello - Shifter
Shiba San - Back to Funk
This banger of a track is off of Shiba San’s new EP from Green Velvet’s Relief Records. You’ll definitely here this in my upcoming sets.
Illusionize & Kyle Watson - Be Positive
As I said in a previous post, Kyle Watson is one of my favorite producers at the moment. His originals and remixes are always top-notch, and the same can be said for his collaborations. This one is with illusionize who is another rising star in the scene today. Handle with care.
That's it for this week, tune in next week for five more tasty trax.
